India
As global markets continue to evolve and offer new opportunities, it is imperative that the plastics industry consistently improves its export performance. Expanding exports will not only enhance the industry's global competitiveness but also contribute significantly to our economic resilience.
In this context, the importance of targeted market intelligence for boosting exports cannot be overstated. I am pleased to acknowledge the commendable initiative by the All India Plastics Manufacturer's Association, in collaboration with the Chemicals and Petrochemicals Manufacturer's Association, in carrying out a detailed analysis and preparing the publication “Boosting Exports by 4X in 3 Years of Plastic Finished Products.”
This publication is both timely and strategic. It offers deep insights into 21 key import markets and identifies high-potential product segments for export, making it an invaluable resource for the stakeholders of the Plastic Industry. Such initiatives are well-aligned with the Department of Chemicals and Petrochemical's objectives of promoting value addition, product diversification, and greater access to international markets.
By delivering evidence-based guidance to processors and exporters, this study will support informed investment across the entire value chain. It also serves as a vital reference for the Department as we work collaboratively with industry stakeholders to advance the sector's development.
I commend AIPMA and CPMA for their continuing efforts in strengthening India's position in the global plastics trade, and I wish that Plastic Industry will make full use of the valuable insights in the publication.
Warm regards,
Nivedita Shukla Verma
